The time has come to change the way most people think about work.

Why? Because I experienced first-hand what happens when companies don’t treat their people well. Realizing that work very often isn’t working led me to a big decision—first a personal one and later the decision to support companies in making a positive change. But change in the business world doesn’t come overnight and especially not by repeating outdated patterns of acting and thinking over and over again.

Here’s a little bit more about me

My professional journey started in Berlin. But my curiosity and hunger for growth brought me to Stockholm, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Madrid and finally Barcelona; where I live now. Back in Europe, being a certified Life Coach and certified Chief Happiness Officer (CHO), I returned to the startup world to help companies and their people thrive by balancing business and people goals. Working with all parts of the whole business through shared values and purpose, a sense of belonging, and meaningful interaction is a proven approach for lasting success.

Having met a multitude of people on my personal and professional journey, I learned that no matter what, we all share very similar needs: We all hold hopes and dreams and an innate desire to thrive in our personal and professional lives. It gives us purpose, adds to our self-worth, and lets us pursue self-fulfillment.

I also realized that at work, where we spend most of our awake time, these needs are very seldom met. Dominated by reports and numbers, human beings are taking the backseat, even being reduced to “human capital.” Our society has removed “humanness” from work, and it now costs us dearly, literally.

But I learned there is a cure: once we start involving our people by putting them first and creating strong bonds through recognition, professional development, engagement, and conscious leadership, the same people will thank you for it by making the company’s success their mission.

And it’s as simple as that: Put your people first! Make work a place they love to be! Build an engaging company culture WITH them and introduce conscious leadership that involves and challenges your people (remote or in the office). For me, these are vital components for every ethical business that plans to excel long-term.

I hope we'll meet soon!
