I, the Artist – Is success more than pure talent?

Lanau Espacio Creativo - Madrid/Spain - December 2018

How to create and maintain long-term artistic success?

The mini-workshop “I, the Artist – Is success more than pure talent?” focused on powerful questions from the artistic sector such as: What is self-management? What do you know about social media? Do you have your artist portfolio (updated)? Do you know the value of your works?

I, the Artist” was the first edition of the series for young talents “Art cannot exist in a vacuum” and revolved around the question: Is success more than pure talent? Taking it as a hypothesis for the fundamental question: How to create and maintain an artistic career in the long run?

Aimed at artists, designers, professionals in the creative sector and students of creative subjects, we took advantage of these questions to investigate and question the procedures of the artists/creatives concerning the presentation, dissemination and communication of themselves and their creations, to review and possibly remove certain obstacles that prevented these young talents from flourishing and building a successful long-lasting career.
