In Buenos Aires, I took many years trying to find my own path and what I want. At the same time studying science Communication Sciences, finished my degree in 1994, specializing in journalism. I consider myself than an artist before a painter, and a painter before a draftsman, which sometimes feels relaxed about the trends and fashion. I try to stand in the uncomfortable, diffused border of right and wrong, on the edge of tradition and modernity.
My expressive means is the figurative painting and conventional canons of easel painting, and generally in small format. If I had to define myself as an artist, I would say that my painting is narrative translating my ideas, thoughts and occurrences trying to keep the clarity and humor through irony and parody. Had I been chronically writer had chosen to tell my stories of little losers playing the role of "heroes of the day."
My latest works are a series of portraits in which seek to "update" modes, posturing and the stereotype of ages that range from 40 to `70 'with an emphasis on respect the characteristics of each period for lighting, as presented, looks, etc.., all passed by deforming reinterpretation of my eyes, that reveals my tastes for Japanese manga, baroque, and the influences of German expressionism closest in time and space as Antonio Berni, Spilimbergo, Chambi, Tim Burton and Robert Crumb.
