THE GREAT THING IN THE WORLD

IS NOT SO MUCH WHERE WE STAND

AS IN WHAT DIRECTION

WE ARE MOVING

Coaching

We all know the challenges of everyday life, facing inner and outer obstacles that can make your lives more difficult than we want it to be. Trying to remove them, to work around them and ultimately to ignore them… but they just won’t go away.
But what can you do when something (an experience, fear, a colleague, etc.) interferes so significantly with your life that it prevents you from living up to your full potential?
Well, sometimes the “simple” decision of seeking outside support to move past this is the smartest thing you can actually do. And be sure: That doesn’t mean that you are failing. It just means that you realized that it’s very hard to work towards a solution when you’re too focused on your obstacle.

So when you find yourself in that kind of situation or you feel that you haven’t fully developed all of your potential yet, coaching is a great option. It will help you untangle thoughts, convert negative patterns of behavior into positive ones and unlock emotional blocks you sometimes aren’t fully aware of. Because the coach “honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work, and believes that every client is creative, resourceful and whole” (quote from the International Coach Federation – ICF).
Of course many people think of a football coach first, when they hear coaching, but coaching today is asking powerful questions instead of telling the client how to do things. By asking these questions, the coach helps bring self-awareness and clarity to the client’s mind. This self-awareness helps the client to find solutions, encourages him/her to take action and to maximize his/her potential to obtain extraordinary results in his/her life and/or career. So coaching is more “helping to learn” than telling the client what to do. To ensure that this is the case, ICF credentials are only awarded to professional coaches “who have met stringent education and experience requirements” which includes following the ICF Code of Ethics and honoring the ICF´s core values (integrity, excellence, collaboration, and respect).

If analyzing your current life situation made you realize that you could benefit from coaching, don’t wait – ACT ON IT. Turn your life around by overcoming what’s holding you back or discovering the possibilities that lie within you. Knowing who you are and being personally fulfilled is the perfect starting point to master all of the challenges of day-to-day (professional) life with success and excellence.
